Of course it's cheating (well, just slightly)... but it's better than being dead. My QfG5 paladin must have died at least 5 times in Minos's treasure room while trying to unlock that final door to get Erana to float into the room and whisk my paladin and Elsa off to fight the dragon. There's so much pressure on solving the trap before the timer hits 0 - and that "boom boom" music really doesn't help very much...
Anyway, that's what I normally do.
There are many types of magic, but all require a sharp mind and a cool head. There is no puzzle I can't solve, no problem I can't think my way out of. When you feel confused or uncertain, you can always rely on me to untangle the knots and put everything back in order for you.

And in Qg4 the fighter can learn to climb (semi)automatically
Had journeyed long, singing a song, in search of El Dorado.
But he grew old, this knight so bold, and o'er his heart a shadow,
Fell as he found no spot of ground that looked like El Dorado.
And as his strength failed him at length, he met a pilgrim shadow.
'Shadow,' said he,' Where can it be, this land of El Dorado?'
'Over the mountains of the Moon, down the Valley of the Shadow.
Ride, boldly ride,' the shade replied,' if you seek for El Dorado.'

I generally start playing as a warrior. I follow up usually by playing as a thief. Third time around, I'm a mage.
