Rather reluctantly I've picked the Goblins, not for difficulty but because they are so co-operative. They keep on coming to be killed and enriching you rotf.gif

Brigands aren't monsters, they're people. And Toro was a good guy, eventually.
"Fear holds us and binds us and keeps us from growing... It kills a small piece of us each day. It holds us to what we know and keeps us from what's possible, and it's our worst enemy. Fear doesn't announce itself; it's disguised, and it's subtle. It's choosing the safe course; most of us feel we have 'rational' reasons to avoid taking risks... The brave man is not the one without fear, but the one who does what he must despite being afraid. To succeed, you must be willing to risk total failure; you must learn this."

Toro was always a good guy, he just followed what Elsa said even if it was miguided, and she wasn't evil, either, just under the influence of a certain curse a certain orgress placed...

(very long thought pattern) hey wait ogres are people too you know smile.gif.

that ogre was just really really hungry and baba yaga had kicked him out of her house cause she was a ogress( well you would think they would get on well wouldn't you. maybe he wasn't her type haha sorry just had to say that jestera.gif )

anyway he was trying to ask for some food and the hero couldn't understand him , then the evil wicked hero smashed him with his sword and the poor defensive ogre was just trying to push him away with a rock (or a stick if your thinking vga) believe me i saw the whole thing!! smile.gif.

if anything that mean wicked hero should be a monster .

but seriously i go for the ogre as my favorite "monsters" by which i mean "my favorite creature of all the creatures the hero brutally murdered just becuase they looked different from them". heh smile.gif

Oh, Og....my friend I never felt happy in killing the poor Ogre, but he wouldn't let me go into the cave to save that awful, ungrateful braggart the son of the Baron or destroying the Kobold; similarly I really felt sorry for killing/knocking out Toro. But removing them was a necessity, didn't you have to?

if memory serves in both the Ega and the Vga you can run past him (the Ogre).
sadly you can't run past toro which was a shame but then if you were a mage or a thief you can get by him.

besides you just "knock out" the minotaur (evident by QFG5 and the ending scene of 1 ) while you kill the ogre smile.gif
still i must say that ogres are misrepresnented in those games , though i should give it credit though since goons (half ogres ) can seemly be good or bad ( otto / crusher)

Well I didn't try "running" past him; but I did try to evade him but where was slow he bacame faster and handed me two or three nasty blows. smile.gif. I was afraid of his following me in the cave and then I'd be caught between him and the bear ' the less than 'wholesome' Barnard? frown.gif!
I did avoid killing the Ogre in the cave entrance to the Bandits hideout!!

PEACE!!!

PS - This applies to both versons of the game!

well at least you tried to get away from the ogre and i guess he was exactly smiling , if otto (well he's half ogre but close enough was outside that cave no one would harm him right?

which ones the greater beastl i think we're never know (that doesn't quite amply to his human form , he;s just a a snob)

p.s they should have sooo put on favorite monster (bear /baronnet) smile.gif not that he deserve to really die its just that he probably didn't deserve to be a baronet again.

Haha if wasn't necessary for the game I would never have set him free smile.gif! I did once go past him by feeding him (as a Bear) and destroy the Kobald wizard, got the Key and the treasure and left the Snob (as you say) to stay in he cave to "rot" - quote Katrina! But...smile.gif!!
