I voted for Fighter Multi Class since I give him everything except stealth. thumbs.gif

I always, always, ALWAYS play pure class characters.

I will never give in! I will never surrender! My fighter shall remain pure! My thief, ah, a pure thief he shall remain! My mage shall never contaminate his magic by lifting cups with his bare hands - nay, nay, nay! He shall be a pure mage!

<grin> Excuse the rant...

I start off each game as a fighter. Then I play as a thief. Finally I play as a wizard.

If I have the opportunity to become a paladin, I become that as soon as possible.

I'm adamant about the pure character classes because the games were really designed with pure classes in mind. Of course you can give your character points for abilities not natural to his character class, and you can work up those skills... but it's inimical in a sense to the game's intent. You don't get a multi-class solution to problems... only pure character class solutions.

If multi-class characters had different storylines and solutions, I'd take on the multi-class playing. Since they don't, I don't.

I usually play a Magic User with all but throwing and climbing, I think...

Other than that, I play pure characters smile.gif

My ego demands that my character aquire all skills in their training and journey. wink.gif

But anyway, my non-magic Fighters usually know climbing and throwing.

My Mages usually know Trowing and Perry. Since his mana doesn't have a great supply yet.

In any game, I will use Magic (Black,Preferably devil.gif ) if given the chance, so when I got my 1st QFG game (4) I went with Pure Mage.
Magic makes things so much more interesting...

Thief Pure Class, of course. biggrin.gif I remember the very first time I played QFG1 (Hero's Quest at the time), never having played any kind of RPG before, I was so intrigued at the idea of playing a thief.

Like Almirena, I prefer pure class characters. I find it makes replaying the game more interesting and it makes each play through more challenging.

man, you guys are making me regret giving my thief magic and parry. It IS more interesting with just one kind of skills. I might have to have a 2nd game!

Multi-class mage for me. But I have begun a game with a pure mage and a pure fighter (who will hopefully become a Paladin). I've never played a pure class character before and it is interesting not having the normal things one is used to having.

I normally have a fighter character with climbing skill. I don't see anything wrong with that. Why shouldn't a warrior know how to climb?

Till next time stay cool cool.gif

That is a Fighter skill, so I think it should be automaticly given to the Fighter class.

I think its more "impure" for a fighter to have stealth, pick locks and magic.
no thanks for the download, i made a character with some decent stats, lots 100 or near 100 anyways. Already imported to QFG2. Love these games. dood3a.gif and that too. dood3a.gif

True enough, that's why I have saves with only the skills the game automatically gives them. wink.gif

But it's good to hear you're in TBF. thumbs.gif

I'll go with a pure magic user, but if Paladin was available, I'd use that with magic. Too bad...
