Could someone answer this question for me please?

When you cast Zap before a fight, the effect lasts for the entire fight, right?

Or do you have to cast it every time you stab?

It doesn't last the whole fight. It just increases the amount of damage done by one attack. Once you've attacked your enemy with a zapped weapon, you'll have to zap it again to make it work! smile.gif

Till next time stay cool cool.gif

I don't mean to sound mean, but how could you not know? Maybe if you only played QfG1, but in the other games like QfG4 it is visually apparant that the zap wears off (the light on the icon turns off)
Gaily bedight, a gallant knight in sunshine and in shadow,
Had journeyed long, singing a song, in search of El Dorado.
But he grew old, this knight so bold, and o'er his heart a shadow,
Fell as he found no spot of ground that looked like El Dorado.
And as his strength failed him at length, he met a pilgrim shadow.
'Shadow,' said he,' Where can it be, this land of El Dorado?'
'Over the mountains of the Moon, down the Valley of the Shadow.
Ride, boldly ride,' the shade replied,' if you seek for El Dorado.'

Well, up to now I haven't played QFG4.

As for the first three. I just assumed that it wore off when it said it wore off, not every time to hit the enemy.

I believe it was mentioned in the handbook that the spell wears off after every hit. I could be wrong though.

The spell discharges during the first melee attack that hits home. As it does, it'll add a certain amount of damage to that attack. The next melee attack will be at base strength again unless you re-cast zap during combat.

Poor Magic User...that's his lot...so difficult to get rich lol.gif Rather unfair, isn't it?
"When in prosperity give advice; when in misfortune take it".

There surely is some blessed clime,
Where life is not a breath!
