Yo all!

I've installed the 2 QFG5 official patches and the un-official XP patch for QFG5 but it does not work? When I run it it goes into a black screen then it gets stuck.

Relp Me.

First, post in the game specific folders.
Second, for the windows version of DF you only need to install the 1.2 patch.

• Now here is the trouble shooting list for XP:
• Set the compatibilty mode to 95/98.
• Install the offical 1.2 patch, the 1.1 is not needed.
• In the QFG5 folder, remove the QGM directory added by the patch.
• Install VDM Sound.
• If you are having trouble getting the video clips to play then install the latest version of Quicktime.

During the install, did you perfrom the tasks related to the Quicktime movies? If you haven't goten it working by now I would suggest uninstalling it, make sure everything is deleted and reinstall the game. And then go through that list I posted. That Win2k patch might be affecting your game as it was made for Windows 2000 and is already a few years old.

Its okay, I managed to get it to work.
