Well, what is your favorite eatry?
Sometimes I like all three, but on most occasions, I think that rations are really redundant if you're near a town or city. After all, there's a nice inn there and they serve nice food, I think that rations are only if your going to be away from a city or town for a while. (like in QFG 3 and 5)

My hero eats every morning and evening in the inn and gets those lizard rations from Scoree and Slorie. Sometimes he also gets a little snack from them.

Then, when the hero goes to Rasier (where there is no food to be gotten), he can live on rations for a while.

Orion, Lizard Jerky is the rations they have, not the standard food

Just rations and the inn - Well nothing is so important as regular meals, that and rations when the minor hunger arrives during the day.

I tend to avoid the stalls so far as food goes - except maybe once, just to see what the game says... and then I return to a saved game so that I can save my hero's money.
What can I say? My hero is a nipcheese.

I try to eat at least one of every kind of food they have, he's a hero, but he's also an adventurer and tourist, he likes to see the place, and see what it has to offer, and that includes eating new foods.

Does your hero eat Dibbler's meat pies or sausages inna bun too, PL? If so, he's a braver man than I thought... <snicker>

No, he doesn't, since Cut-Me-Own-Throat Dibbler is not in QFG

Oh, and about how you said that Lizard Jerkey isn't the standard ration... I've had alligator/crocodile meat. (can't remember which) - but it tasted like teriaki chicken...

Why is it that any meat that isn't beef, mutton or pork tastes like chicken?

I starve my poor hero...not that I like him to starve it's just that I'm lazy...
Everyonce and while I go to the Inn just to stop the messages from popping up but most of the time my poor hero is starving...then I get to Rasier and i'm like "Hmmm...well at least i'm used to it..."

God has a sense of humor and likes the "Tastes like chicken" joke.

A little Flash game where you have this little hero on the screen, and you use credits to feed him rations and send monsters his way to level him up...

Just don't forget to clean up after him
