Sometimes you can find inspiration in the oddest places. Yesterday as I cleaned the pigsty that is my apartment (no thanks to me...all credit can be given to my neandertal roommates, who have yet to discover inventions like "soap" and "mops" and "replaceable lightbulbs"...), I realized that the action of cleaning something is very therapeutic. I find my mind clear of distractions, and I usually end up doing much of my creative work at that time. Exercise works like that too.
What about you? Any abnormal sources of inspiration in your life?

Inspiration? Well, sad to say as it is, the things that usually "inspire" me are the crappier things in life. All that black energy to work off, y'know. However, I do also get very inspired by movies, such as the wonderful, wonderful Minority Report that I just watched yesterday, and Ocean's 11 today...
My ego has been an all-time low lately, though, for whatever reason (actually I know the reason and my ego can stand to be bruised), so I haven't been keeping much that I've done, much less SHOWN anybody.

Truth to tell, I have no idea. Inspiration is like that sometimes.

I don't know about insperation, but a good jog helps clearing my mind.

For me is a random thought or idea or a dream. If it appeals enough to me to remember it I use it in future projects.

Like everyone else here, I find that inspiration tends to strike in the most unlikely places. I once got the inspiration for a QfGlorification while riding my bike home. Sometimes I get inspirations while waiting for a train; sometimes while travelling on a train; sometimes while working on something else. I sometimes even get inspirations just as I'm drifting off to sleep. There's no predicting inspiration. It could strike at any time and any place.

For me, inspiration comes from a multitude of sources. Sometimes it comes when cleaning or doing something with my hands. Other times from dreams or day dreams or perhaps when I'm playing another computer game. Unfortunately, as easy as this sounds, the inspiration has a tendency of drying up as easily as well.

Oh, well said, Briavel! Or, in the common vernacular, "Word. Tru dat."

Yeah, inspiration can come from anything, and for me I can *usually* summon up some inspiration if I really need it, but I just listed those that were most predictable.
