I voted yes. Because my Wizard may not be a Paladin in name but he lives an honorable life.

I also think it should be possible for all classes to free her should they have the inclination to do so. Perhaps by using a different method, but it definitely should be possible.

No for me...
It's the Paladin's way to try and help others... living or not... no matter the cost...
And a thief would only try to save her for the most obvious reasons, and after he saves her and sees what she looks like, he'd prolly regret ever doing so.

I voted that all should be allowed to help the Resulka, because the counter curse says nothing of having to be a paladin in order to do it. I would also haved liked the theif to have the option of stealing her hair

I also voted for all to be able to help the Rusalka. It's so upsetting to think of her tormented existence, with my hero unable to help her...
Yes, the METHOD ought to be different, but all classes should be able to help the poor thing. We're HEROES... thief or wizard or whatever, we want to help!

This might shock everyone, but I always wanted to give her some clothes at the least. The poor woman was always stuck their with no way to cover herself.

I voted other. while I think everyone should be able to free the rusalka, I disagree with the final comment for yes on the poll.

I've never completed the Rusalka quest and have always wanted to. After beating the game, I tried to play again as a paladin but the game bugs and my crappy computer prevented me from doing so. Oh well...

I voted yes. The first time I played it, I knew I had to save her, but alas I was running a wizard and couldn't.
Nowadays, my fave class is my rogue-paladin. Now I can help out the Chief and Elyssa. I wish I could pound that annoying Fairy Queen too with this class, but we can't do everything now can we?

I LIKE the idea that only a Paladin can do certain things. Ditto for the other classes (says she whose Fighters have super-spells and whose Paladins pick locks).

Personally I voted for all cause it's a pitty for the poor Rusalka not to be saved unless a Paladin is around....

It really agonized me when I couldn't help the rusalka, because I really liked her and couldn't bear to see her silently suffering like that...

I voted other. I do think that each class should be able to release the her in their own way, but the Paladin should be able to do things the others can't. The only problem I had was that the other characters could realize they couldn't save the Rusalka. Maybe something more along the lines of Piotyr's ghost, something the others never see...

I like the idea of there being class specific quests, but I only managed to play as the paladin a few years ago because I didn't have a saved game file. Considering this was one of my favourite childhood games, it sucks I had to wait so long to experience such quests as the Rusalka and burning down the Monastery.

I'm gonna have to go against the flow here and argue that it should remain a Paladin-only quest.
After all, this is easily the Paladin's best game - maybe the only game where the Wizard and the Thief aren't clearly more entertaining to play. If you give the Rusalka quest to everybody, then the Paladin won't be the best character in SOD, because it's really his centerpiece event. And that would make the Paladin very sad.

I voted no, only because i play as a thief all the time...i finally allowed my self to attempt to become a paladin. i like that idea of a shameless hero...makes me feel awesome. but i do agree that the wizard and the fighter should be able to help her at least, just not the thief.
