i followed the links in the music section, and arrived at http://www.queststudios.com where the music of qfg 5 dragonfire is available. but the ones that labeled queststudios aren't available to be downloaded. is there any place where i can get those songs? cause my favourite is when the hero dance with the dryad ... so exciting yet tranquil.

Well if you have the Qfg Collection series pack that includes the Qfg collection cd - there should be a second cd with the full soundtrack of Qfg5 as well as a Qfg5 demo and some extra files on it with sounds from the game that I found while browsing inside the cd smile.gif

The Qfg5 sound track is not available for download as far as I know - copyright issues I guess smile.gif

I believe it's track 2 on the music CD which comes the QFG Collection Series.

I believe I have that CD as well, but I don't think it'll be available for download any time soon. I wonder, though, as to why they would hold on to the sound track of an 8 year old game in such a manner, it's not like software pirates are going to swarm in and try to cash in a game that relatively few people want.

If you have the QFG5 cd, you can actually rip all the music files from hdn.spk and cda.spk.

My QFG 5 CD does have some minor defects in the music. I made a copy of it a few years back in order to preserve the original (and I haven't used it since) and the music, voice and sound seems to have some problems as it cuts short in some places, speeds up in others and is chopping in some other places. All I can say is, I hope that this is a problem for windows XP and not the game itself.

I think that's probably an XP issue. I played it for a while in Win95 and the audio for the game never skipped and I didn't notice any blips.

In XP it's pretty good (I'm running it in Win2000 mode), but not as good as under the Win95 OS.
