I'm tryinkg to get QFg to display right on my widescreen laptop. Fullscreen mode in dosbox results in a very small centered picture. I'm trying to tweak the settings. has anyone found a way to make it work?

I'm not exactly sure what the problem you're experiencing is...

How wide is this laptop? You say "full-screen" mode - does that mean you've already pressed alt-enter?

I have the dosbox config set to fullscreen. My laptop has a 16:9 ratio instead of 4:3. The result when I run dosbox is a small centered 4:3 "screen" with a thick black border surrounding it. I can't resize the screen to use the entire height of my laptop screen. Does that help?

Hey koyar,

I have the same aspect widescreen-size screen on my laptop as well. I also have a desktop computer so I'm able to compare how Dosbox runs on both. When you say you have a border around the screen when you maximize Dosbox, you said "surrounding". For me, it fits top to bottom, but I have thick black bars on the left and right sides.

So let me ask you, what resolution are you running on your laptop? You could try lowering your resolution and then try to run Dosbox in full-screen mode again. You should be able to get it to fit so that there is no border on the top or bottom of the screen.

Hmm. I tried that, but for some reason, my laptop only has one 16:9 resolution. All the others are the typical 4:3 which just makes the hero look fat. I have been trying ot do exactly what you were able to do, but I can't seem to get a smaller widescreen resolution. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite. Anyone know anything about them?

I've just bought one about 2 months ago smile.gif I had to do some serious tinkering to get it to play HoiK and QfG2 correctly, but most of it centered around the Intell® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile that's in the System Tray, IIRC.

Although, my computer had to be returned to Toshiba to replace a corrupted hard drive, so i have to redo the graphics fixing, and I've forgotten how to set it, but if I get the time and remember how to fix it, I'll let you know smile.gif
