What is her name, again? Keeps escaping my memory...

The bracelet you get from the Old Man for it is not exactly a very precious one, but still might be useful in the Forbidden city.

Hmm... Are you sure this is in QFG II? (as I've never seen or found that)
Ghost_Rider
I don't recall ever meeting Dinarzad's Mother... or any mention of a friend of her mother. Can you describe the places / times you meet the old man and get the bracelet? I don't remember any of that in QFG2.
Klausse
Hmm... Dinarzad's mother is a high school love of the Old man from the Silver Tea Set house.

If you're sneaky enough and manage to get into the second room before the sons come, you'll notice a portrait of a young girl on the wall. This is the lady in question, cropped from a school picture. If you know her name, you tell it to the Old Man and he gets all sappy and gives you the bracelet he never was able to give to Dinarzad's mother because when her parents knew about the boy being in love with their daughter, they took her to other school and her traces got lost for him.

Whoa, never heard about doing that before!

I'll have to go back to 2 and give it a try....
Klausse
A hint: if you stay outside the monechanger's long enough, wait till she's out and locks the door, and then follow her secretly, you'll see the mother opening the door for Dinarzad to her knock.

Al, Rath, PL, anybody... where are the brakes in this car?

I'm pretty sure you're trying to pull a fast one on us. It seems just a bit too far-fetched. And just to prove my point I'll play through that part again. wink.gif

Klausse, your post recent post didn't sound especially plausible, but I replayed that part of QFGII just to double-check. I didn't find anything you were talking about... Interesting idea though. tongue.gif
Klausse
spin2.gif I'm glad you didn't get angry at me smile.gif

The idea was not bad, right? wave1.gif

Not a bad idea at all....but definitely more side story than 2 or even 3 got in to. I guess that's why a lot of people aren't so keen on 2, since it's so very linear without much to do if you've figured out how to do it already. I still like it, though, particularly for the atmosphere the designers obviously worked hard to create. But, I guess I wish that along with that atmosphere came a little bit more plot, like what you are describing... smile.gif And no, I'm not mad. I can appreciate a joke as long as the joker knows when to stop, which you did quite well. Some people at this point might have still insisted the story was true and told me that I was going about it wrong....that's when I would have gotten annoyed. smile.gif

Klausse is famous for his Klaussisms. We love him for those, and for his wonderful humorous witticisms. <grins as she remembers the Hero's Diary>
