I recently discovered the open source zip program “7-zip” which not only handles most of the standard file extensions, but also has its own format, which seems more efficient than either .zip or .rar formats, though that it may only be usable for internal use. The only real drawback with the program is that its layout could have been better, and the program's navigation system is not as good as Winzip.

But still, the program is free and without adds!

I'll stick with Winrar...

I've been using the trial version of winwar. It's annoying me. I still like winzip the most though. But 7-zip is a good freeware program for those who can't/won't pay for other programs and don't crack the trial programs.

Winrar satisfies me just fine.
