Error code 0x10ff0800

This error code appears when the computer is sending the information to the scanner too fast. It is basically caused by a setting in the computer's BIOS that needs to be changed.

The parallel port mode in the BIOS needs to be changed to EPP, SPP or Normal mode.

Altering the BIOS settings varies from computer to computer, and from operating system to operating system. With my computer - using Windows 98 - one simply presses DELETE while starting up, then goes to the I/O selection line in the "ADVANCED" settings.
