it says that i have to free expanded memory for ultima7 to work, since dosbox only simulating dos with auto emm, i don't think i can turn it off and redistribute the "used memory" to ultima7
is there any explanation for this, even better, any solution?
i can't play ultima7 through windows as well, so i think i'm stuck.

Which version of DOSBox are you using? The latest is as of now 0.63, and if the game status page is to be belived, Ultima 7 should work both under 0.61 and 0.63.
